Thermotron’s AST Modules provide a cost effective means of performing HALT Testing. Combining thermal and vibration stresses, HALT testing quickly uncovers design flaws and precipitates latent defects. Thermotron’s AST Modules work in conjunction with a SE-Series Environmental Test Chamber to provide simultaneous temperature and vibration testing through a single easy-to-use interface.
At the heart of the AST Module is the Universal Port, Thermotron’s patented portal installed into the side wall on our most popular SE-Series environmental test chambers. Through this port, Thermotron chambers can accommodate a broad range of performance enhancing options. By using the AST Module customers will receive benefits such as:
The AST Module works in conjunction with a chamber to provide quick yet well-controlled incremental changes in product temperature. Using dampered mechanical refrigeration and electrical heat, AST Modules work with SE-Series Chambers to produce thermal shock type performance when transitioning temperatures between high and low extremes.
The floor of the AST Module is a fully functional six-axis repetitive shock vibration platform capable of producing acceleration levels up to 50 grms and a frequency spectrum ranging from 2 to 10,000 Hz.
Protected under United States Patent No. 6,976,340.
