Impactor System Monitor

Standard Feature

The RS System Monitor will save time and frustration spent troubleshooting and maintaining the impactors on an RS/RSL vibration system. Any time the vibration system is runnning, our control system is monitoring the airflow to each impactor. A transducer is installed for each actuator and signals are fed back to the 8800 Control Module– no auxiliary computer equipment necessary. The AST operator is able to view individual actuator performance right on the AST 8800 Impactor Status display.

The System Monitor determines the operating status of each impactor and visually illustrates the status of the impactor. If the impactor requires air higher than the normal range, the system compensates, and the impactor turns yellow indicating that it may need to be replaced when it is convenient. If the impactor on the screen is red, it indicates that the air flow control system cannot compensate enough and that the impact needs to be replaced. When an impactor needs to be replaced, easy-to-follow instructions are available right on the AST controller.

The system compares actual operating conditions with a gold standard of performance to determine if the table is in proper working order before starting a test. It also allows you to schedule routine, periodic maintenance at convenient times.
