Thermotron's AST-18 provides a mid-sized platform for performing Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) on small and medium sized products or components. The patented multi-axis vibration table and rapid thermal change rate system make the AST-18 an ideal environment for optimizing product designs.
A small footprint makes the AST-18 perfect for laboratories and test areas with limited floor space. Heavy duty casters make it flexible by allowing the AST-18 to be easily moved into and throughout the facility.
The AST-18 features a 28" x 28" (71 cm x 71 cm), multi-axis, repetitive shock vibration table capable of producing acceleration levels in excess of 50 grms. It can also accommodate smaller RS vibration tables including the RS-16 and RS-24 for testing applications involving smaller, lightweight product loads.
Capable of imparting extreme thermal stresses to products, the AST-18 produces high temperature change rates in excess of 50°C per minute. The chamber's high volume, high velocity airflow is configured through a slot and adjustable ducts, maximizing thermal stress directly imposed on the product, accelerating product failure rates.
The AST-8800 control system's intuitive graphical user interface makes the AST-18 easy to use. The 17-inch flat panel monitor displays power spectral density, temperature and acceleration data on easy-to-read screens. The controller is Ethernet-compatible and web-enabled with an internet-ready front end for virtual anytime/anywhere access.
