Thermotron’s Accelerated Stress Test (AST) control instrumentation is designed specifically for extreme change rate chambers and repetitive shock vibration systems. Featuring Windows™ look and feel for familiar and robust operations, the AST-8800 is a PC-Based control system providing versatility and flexibility.
With a library of preprogrammed step-stress and cycling profiles that accommodate many types of accelerated testing, the AST-8800 has a user-selectable frequency range up to 20,000 Hz and a user-selectable resolution up to 12,800 lines. Thermotron’s AST-8800 offers an excellent performance value and an unmatched dynamic range for accurate test results.
The AST-8800 incorporates a brilliant 17” flat panel monitor able to display power spectral density, temperature and acceleration data on easy-to-read screens. Quick Navigation buttons provide time-saving short cuts when accessing different screens. Quickstep wizards make generating a test profile a breeze and online help screens provide full documentation. Back-up and restore wizards make it easy to safeguard your data.
A built-in Ethernet connection makes for easy computer interface and provides network-wide accessibility. Computer interface and USB connectors are conveniently located on the front of the chamber for easy accesses. An external USB port with flash drive provides faster and more convenient transfer of massive files. An extensive multi-level, password protected security system locks out critical system settings. The built-in activity log records all system activity for assistance in troubleshooting. Therm-Alarm™ and Vib-Alarm also provide extra product protection. The safety stop feature may be enables, preventing the chamber door from being opened at an unsafe temperature.
Thermotron’s AST-8800 controller provides enhanced flexibility with automated test procedures. The control system offers the most advanced test level scheduling and profile sequencing to provide the operator with the simplest, most automated operations available.
