Environmental Stress Screening

Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) has been developed to help electronics manufacturers detect product defects and production flaws. Screening can force infancy PC board and component failures that would otherwise occur after final assembly and product delivery, and potentially during the warranty period. Environmental Stress Screening can be part of the manufacturing process, or it can be used in new product qualification testing. With either application, the ultimate goal is improved profitability by eliminating defective products.
