Thermotron's FAST Chambers are unlike any other HALT and HASS Chambers currently on the market. With their versatility and sophisticated environmental testing, FAST Chambers are ideal for customers wanting to perform combined temperature and vibration testing but need more flexibility, versatility and productivity from their chamber.

Featuring open bottoms and an elevated workspace, FAST chambers are easily interfaced with a repetitive shock or electrodynamic shaker. The slide-out shaker easily rolls out from under the chamber, allowing products to be secured on the shaker table and then rolled into the chamber for testing.

FAST chambers are available in temperature only or temperature/humidity configurations. A variable humidity range of 20% to 95% relative humidity is available as an option on most models.

Thermotron's FAST chambers feature high performance mechanical or cryogenic refrigeration systems. In many cases, the use of mechanical refrigeration can reduce the cost of operation and provide a rapid return on investment compared with similar sized liquid nitrogen (LN₂) based test facilities. With mechanical refrigeration, the FAST chamber has a temperature range of +177°C to -73°C and many of these chambers are capable of performing change rates in excess of 5, 10 or even 15°C per minute. Some advantages of using liquid nitrogen (LN₂) include lower a temperature range from -100°C and ultra fast temperature change rates.

Utilizing a high volume air distribution system that provides increased air velocity over products, FAST chambers are able to facilitate higher stress levels. This airflow configuration and intensity has the ability to be modified through an adjustable slot and flexible air ducts focusing the power right where it is needed. Faster changes rates and lower temperatures can be achieved using liquid nitrogen (LN₂).

Available in sizes ranging from 16 cubic feet to 100 cubic feet with compressor sizes from 7.5 horsepower to 30 horsepower, Thermotron can provide a versatile FAST chamber that fits your testing needs. With the addition of double doors, vertical lift or sliding doors, adjustable height, or floor plug cart assemblies, the FAST chamber from Thermotron provide the customization and flexibility necessary to adapt to changing test requirements. Also available is an energy efficient thermotrimmer to cost effectively maintain high or low temperatures and remove heat generated by energized products.

FAST chambers are controlled by our exclusive PC-based AST-8800 control system, specifically designed for extreme change rate chambers and repetitive shock vibration systems. It features a 17-inch flat panel monitor that displays power spectral density, temperature and acceleration data all on easy-to-read screens. Ethernet-compatible and web-enabled with an internet-ready front end for virtual anytime/anywhere access.
