Product and Test Fixtures

Thermotron has designed and built many different types of fixtures, racks, and devices to hold products and insure they are adequately protected during tests. The fixture may be as simply as a drawer, rack, or shelf, or as complex as a fully powered cart with electrical connectors, outlets, and mating pins. Proper fixturing can increase throughput, letting you process products quickly and conveniently.

The products being tested in an environmental chamber are subjected to severe expansion and contraction. Fixturing is also subjected to many of the same stresses. Thermotron understands the critical relationships between conditions being simulated in the chamber and the products being tested. Airflow, proper temperature and humidity distribution, corrosion, and vibration must be anticipated and controlled. We are skilled in choosing the proper materials of construction and maximizing the available space within the chamber.

Interchangeable storage racks and carts can be rotated for faster product set up and increased throughput. Dedicated custom fixturing can be designed specifically for the end use, reducing product handling, contributing to test accuracy, and improving throughput. Fixtures can be designed with adjustability in mind to allow interfacing to multiple products with different size configurations.
