Designed to simulate a soaking, rainy environment, Thermotron’s Moisture Test Chambers, the MT-Series, test the water-tightness of sealed components such as head lamps, tail lights and wiring harnesses. MT-Series chambers are able to provide the appropriate water coverage as required by the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) as well as the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) standard J575, Paragraph 4.2.3.
Featuring a self-contained water recirculation system, the cost and inconvenience of plumbing in a facility water supply are eliminated. Water is injected into the test enclosure through specifically sized nozzles. Flow meters with adjustment valves supply the spray at specified flow parameters. A rotating test platform can be incorporated to promote even moisture distribution over the surface of the products under test.
MT-Series chambers are available in both top and front-opening configurations. Thermotron has the engineering design capabilities and experience to customize moisture test facilities to meet special configurations or performance specifications.
