Sand & Dust Chambers
Designed to test a product’s resistance to extremely dusty, desert-like environments, Thermotron’s D-27 Sand and Dust Chamber provides the capability of meeting specific automotive test standards. Powerful blowers intermittently blow compressed air up through finely powdered dust and then allow the dust settle back down covering the product in accordance with SAE Dust Test Specification J-575, sub paragraph 3.3.
The chamber is built in a chest configuration, allowing products to be lowered into the workspace. A top-opening lid opens, provides full access to the chamber’s workspace. An adjustable stainless steel shelf capable of holding up to 100 pounds elevates products above the specially designed chamber floor.
