SE-Series Environmental Test Chambers

The SE-Series environmental test chambers include more standard features and options expanding your chamber's versatility. For example, the innovative Universal Port located in the side wall of the chamber is an option that allows SE-Series chambers to interface with slide-up modules, expanding your chamber’s ability to perform thermal shock tests, HALT and HASS, product test system integration and remote conditioning applications. The Universal Port can be added to new or existing SE-Series chambers, increasing the flexibility and productivity of your investment.

SE-Series test chambers are able to provide a top end temperature of +180°C (+356°F) and depending on configuration, a low temperature of –40°C for chambers with single stage refrigeration systems and –70°C for chambers with cascade refrigeration systems. High capacity compressors and product temperature control software make SE-Series chambers capable of achieving very rapid product temperature change rates.

Most SE-Series chambers may also be equipped with Thermotron’s patented modular humidity system. This system may be purchased as a standard feature or easily added as a future upgrade. This humidity system is capable of providing 10% to 98% RH.

An optimized airflow system provides conditioning in the center of the workspace where you need it most, providing more consistently repeatable test results. Improved gradient control produces tighter uniformity and greater accuracy. Thermotron’s ThermAlarm® is the most advanced temperature alarm/limit device available for environmental test chambers. The ThermAlarm® provides audible, visual, relay and contact indication of a temperature exceeding a predetermined high or low limit. Built-in self diagnostics continually monitor the operating system, tracing problems before they occur and reducing troubleshooting time. Most SE-Series chambers have earned the UL listing mark for the United States and Canada, a worldwide symbol of safety and confidence.

Thermotron’s exclusive 8800 Programmer Controller offers a brilliant 12-inch color touch screen display making operation and data collection easier and more reliable than ever. The familiar look and feel supports robust operations and increased data access on a single screen. The 8800 features a built-in Ethernet connection and is web-enabled with an Internet ready front end for virtual anytime/anywhere access.

The data collection process is now even better with Thermotron’s new 8800 Data Acquisition (DAQ) system. This system greatly increases the 8800's capabilities for product monitoring, control and data collection without the need for additional software or test equipment.

Available in several configurations depending on chamber application, the 8800 DAQ reduces development time and cost because it is a completely designed and programmed custom test system for data collection and control tasks. Standard SE-Series chambers now come with three digital outputs and two analog outputs as well as one additional thermocouple input, all configurable through the 8800 display. Thermotron also offers expanded capabilities including additional analog and digital inputs/outputs or thermocouple inputs.
