Universal Port

Thermotron's patented Universal Port expands the capabilities of our SE-series and SL-series environmental test chambers, increases test system utilization, reduces capital investment and makes your test lab more productive. Allowing these chambers to interface with interchangeable accessories and tools enhances chamber performance and utility. Modules characterizing different stress testing and simulation techniques allow the chamber to serve multiple purposes. The Universal Port allows the temperature chamber become a HALT Chamber, a thermal shock chamber or a remote conditioner without having to repurchase an entirely new chamber each time testing requirements change.

The Universal Port is an oversized portal installed into the side wall on our most popular SE-series and SL-series environmental test chambers. The stainless steel port is designed to reduce moisture migration and heat leak. A full-sealing structural plug fills the portal and produces a pressurized fit when the port is not interfaced with a module. By occupying common sidewall space and elevation consistent between chamber lines and models, Universal Port add-ons and modules are able to be interchanged between chambers.

Customers purchasing a chamber with the Universal Port are able to build up their test lab resources now while stile maintaining flexibility when test requirements change. Roll-up modules and performance enhancing options can be purchased later without having to purchase a dedicated machine complete with cost-intensive controls and conditioning equipment.
