Repetitive Shock Vibration is generated using one or more pneumatic impact hammer(s) to strike a plate on which a product is attached. This style vibration equipment provides vibration in three distinct axis and three rotationally axes simultaneously.

Our Repetitive Shock Shakers are able to reach multi-axis repetitive shock and acceleration levels in excess of 50 grms over a wide frequency range. They feature consistent power spectral density energy across the board range of frequencies and impart a nearly flat, random distribution of dynamic stress into the product.

Thermotron’s RS tables have several key advantages that make them a solution for a wide range of testing and screening applications:

  • Self-Contained—All pneumatics are on board.
  • Mobile—The RS Shaker can be supplied with casters and track to roll the unit into a chamber.
  • Quiet—The table is completely enclosed and line with sound absorbing material limiting noise levels to less than 75 dBA.
  • Well Sealed—A positive seal between the walls and the floor of the chamber reduce leakage of air from the workspace.
  • Sophisticated Control System—A full featured PC-based control system with FFT, programming, vibration spectrum analysis, multipoint control and adjustable resolution.

Recently, Thermotron has expanded the repetitive shock vibration line. The new RSL shaker has certain characteristic differences compared to Thermotron’s existing RS Tables:

  • More energy at frequencies below 2,000 Hz.
  • Better uniformity across the table.
  • Consistent energy in the x, y, and z axes.
  • Smooth power spectral density.

Both the RS and RSL vibration tables are available in a variety of sizes ranging from 18” x 18” (46cm x 46cm) to 48” x 48” (121cm x 121cm) and can turn existing AGREE chambers into HALT and HASS combined environment accelerated stress test facilities.
