Who should retrofit? Customers who cannot risk downtime caused by limited CFC availability, or anyone concerned by the high cost of CFC's, should consider a refrigerant retrofit. It is especially important to evaluate costs if you have a failure resulting in CFC refrigerant loss. Frequently the cost of a couple of system recharges would pay for a full system retrofit. Customers who wish to prolong the life of their systems should consider refrigeration upgrades. Some upgrades include new components that improve operation and extend the life of the unit.
