Chamber Seminar

Cascade Refrigeration

In this class the student will gain an understanding of how Thermotron's refrigeration systems operate. Starting with an explanation of basic single-stage systems, the material will advance to cover basic cascade systems, and finish with a discussion of the more complex systems found in environmental chambers. During the lecture, the instructor will also discuss the properties of refrigerants utilized in Thermotron equipment in detail along with some unique system features of Thermotron's cascade systems. Other topics that will be covered include the CFC phase-out that Thermotron, typical system performance, and an in-depth look at the refrigeration components that are utilized by Thermotron in environmental chambers.

2800 / 4800 / 6850 Operation & Troubleshooting

This course provides the basics of operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of the 2800 / 4800 Programmer / Controller

3800 Programmer / Controller Operation

This class covers the basic operation of the 3800 Programmer / Controller. The student will learn how to perform basic set up operations, how to program the 3800 and how to run the 3800 in manual and automatic modes. The student will also receive a basic overview of the hardware components that make up the 3800. This class will also cover the basics of how to communicate with Thermotron Programmer / Controllers using an external computer and Thermotron's ThermoTrak II remote chamber management software.

7800 Programmer / Controller Operation

This class covers the basic operation of the 7800 Programmer / Controller. The student will learn how to perform basic set up operations, how to program the 7800 and how to run the 7800 in manual and automatic modes. The student will also receive a basic overview of the hardware components that make up the 7800.

8800 Programmer / Controller Operation

This class covers the basic operation of the 8800 Programmer / Controller. The student will learn how to perform basic set up operations, how to program the 8800 and how to run the 8800 in manual and automatic modes. The student will also receive a basic overview of the hardware components that make up the 8800 as well as some basic diagnostic information.

Humidity

This course will help the student understand the basic principles and concepts of humidity. The psychrometric chart, water quality and water treatment, and operation of standard Thermotron systems will be discussed, as well as system troubleshooting and recommended maintenance.

How to Read Thermotron Schematics

This class will help the student make better use of Thermotron schematics in understanding how an environmental chamber works. Topics include: basic print reading, symbols used in electrical drawings, interpretation of parts lists, and operational theory of systems. This class is a preparatory course for Chamber Troubleshooting.

Chamber Troubleshooting

This class provides the basics of troubleshooting theory. The instructor troubleshoots a chamber step-by-step as an example. This class is a preparatory course for Hands On Training.

Hands On Training

This is our seminar's highest demand learning session, where the students working with our instructors get to apply the principles of troubleshooting learned in class.

Plant Tour

Our seminar attendees are invited to participate in an employee guided plant tour, where you will witness the manufacturing or our products from sheet metal to shipping. The tour will take you through each process and questions regarding the assembly and testing will be answered by the people who know it best: our employees.
